Outer Banks Travel Photographers / Writers Needed
We're building a team of creative professionals with a passion for photography, travel, and sharing the Outer Banks with the world.
We provide a unique photo blogging opportunity to photographers and storytellers that love writing. Our official blog is already home to a library of educational articles, tutorials, guides, interviews, and features. To take the blog to the next level, we're launching a brand new line of travel and inspirational content and we're looking for talented writers and photographers to create quality articles.
Here are some examples of the kind of articles we're looking for:
- Travel Photography articles: Ex - "15 Jaw-Dropping Images of sunsets and the places on the Outer Banks to take them". One or two paragraph intro. Title and
short caption for each photo. Use your imagination and wow us! - List-style articles: Ex - "10 Best Kayak Launch Spots on the Outer Banks"
- Travel Insight: Things to do, places to see on your Outer Banks Vacation. Ex: "5 Best Romantic Dinner Places on the Outer Banks"
Pitches welcome! As well as providing titles to get to work on, we'd also be happy to consider your article ideas.

We're building a team of writers and photographers to create inspirational, creative, and travel photography content for our community members and - most importantly - to be shared across the internet.
You will work directly with our team to develop feature and story ideas. This job will require you to curate and correspond with business owners and industry professionals.
Article length will vary from approx 600 words to 1500 words. Articles should be original and must pass Copyscape.
The amount of work a writer can expect is flexible and we can work with you to develop a workload that accommodates your schedule. Ideally, writers will be able to produce 2-3 articles per month on average. Again, this is flexible.
Do you know the Outer Banks...
Since we're a travel/destination marketing website about the Outer Banks, it would be beneficial for our writers to have an understanding of the Outer Banks and be able to carry out basic conversations with others about a variety of topics relating to travel and things to do on the Outer Banks. Applicants should have, a minimum experience of working a DSLR and an understanding of online writing fundamentals such as SEO. Don't worry we have tools in place to better optimize your writing for SEO.
This can be a great opportunity to promote your own business, your photography business, or it can help a writer build their portfolio or resume. All our writers will receive a byline where they can add links to their website, portfolio, events, etc...
Writers and photo-bloggers will also have the opportunity to build their professional network and connect with some of the industry's leading professionals.
