The Hatteras Marlin Club is located on Cape Hatteras in the chain of islands called the Outer Banks of North Carolina. This location puts the Club within eighteen miles of the Gulf Stream and its world famous fishing. Known as "Game Fish Junction", the cold Labrador currents collide here with the mild waters of the Gulf Stream. This sets up the perfect scenario for all kinds of fishing. Recognizing this wonderful opportunity for big game fishing, Charles F. Johnson, Earl Phillips and Luther Hodges organized and founded the Hatteras Marlin Club in 1959. The Club provides a private sanctuary for those near and far to share and enjoy their love of fishing. Through the years the Club has grown and now provides a host of amenities from secured dockage to fine dining. Our main event of the year is our Annual Invitational Blue Marlin Release Tournament held in June. This tournament is an exciting way to spend six days filled with fishing, food, fun, and friends.Nestled in the village of Hatteras, at the Island's most southern tip, it makes the perfect place for those who stay ashore to browse the local shops, take a sightseeing tour, ride a ferry to neighboring islands, or just relax on the beautiful beaches of the island.
